Add a vehicle

When you add a vehicle in the portal, you can assign each charging session to a specific truck and analyse it precisely later on.

1.Prerequisites

You have the Admin role, are in the Fleet manager area and have already created your fleet.

2.Step by step

  1. 1.
    In the sidebar, open Fleets & charging cards and open your fleet.
  2. 2.
    There, switch to the Vehicles tab.
  3. 3.
    Click Add vehicle in the top right to open the Manage vehicle window on the right, with the Vehicle tab selected.
  4. 4.
    First, in the Vehicle details area under Make & model, select the appropriate vehicle model.
  5. 5.
    Under Vehicle ID, enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle, which you will use later to assign charging sessions unambiguously.

    You can change the vehicle ID at any time.

    Then enter the vehicle's number plate under Number plate.
  7. 7.
    If needed, add a Cost centre so that the costs are allocated correctly internally.
  8. 8.
    Finally, click Save.

3.Result

The vehicle now appears in the list on the Vehicles tab, with Assign RFID card initially shown in the Assigned RFID card column. So next, assign an RFID card or Autocharge to the vehicle.

4.Note

A vehicle must have been added in order to charge.

Please also note that the number plate of a deleted vehicle initially remains taken. In such a case, write to support@depotcharge.com
