Charging station offline

If your charging station is offline, that is, it has no connection to Depotcharge, it is worth checking the SIM card, router and load management first. Your data is not lost, because the station delivers it after reconnection.

1.Prerequisites

You have created a site with charging points.

2.Step by step

  1. 1.
In the sidebar, open Sites, click the site and switch to the Charging points tab.

In the Connection status column, you see whether the charging point is connected to Depotcharge.

  2. 2.
Then check the station's SIM card.
  3. 3.
    Then check the local router.
  4. 4.
Also check the load management system and then restart the station.
  5. 5.
Ask the manufacturer whether they can still see the station remotely.

If so, the cause often lies in the local network, for example a router that does not come from the depot operator.

  6. 6.
If the SIM card has only restricted access, whitelist the address of the Depotcharge backend.
  7. 7.
If the station still does not connect after that, write to support at support@depotcharge.com.

3.Result

The station reconnects to the backend and transmits the charging data from the offline period afterwards.

4.Note

While the station is offline, no charging data arrives in the portal. Nevertheless, every kWh from this period is remunerated after reconnection.

At many stations, fleets can also charge offline. The session is then stored, transmitted later and therefore appears in the portal with a delay.

If you change the load management or the URL, the station may go offline. In this case, please write to support.
