RFID card not accepted
If the station rejects an RFID card, the cause almost always lies with the RFID card itself, the agreement or the charging point. With the following checklist, you go through these points one by one and quickly find out where the problem is.
1.Prerequisites
You have created a fleet and added an RFID card for the vehicle in it. At Depotcharge sites, only RFID cards that are added in your own fleet work.
2.Step by step
- 1.In the sidebar, open Fleets & charging cards, click the fleet and switch to the RFID cards tab.
There, first check whether the card status of the RFID card is Active.
- 2.Then, under Agreements in the sidebar, open the Active agreements tab and check whether there is a valid agreement with the site that has not expired.
- 3.Also make sure that the agreement applies to exactly this charging point.
- 4.Clarify whether the charging point is enabled and not under maintenance or deactivated by asking the depot operator.
- 5.Finally, check the stored UID for transposed digits.
The UID is the technical number that the station reads, and not just any other number printed on a card.
On RFID cards from Depotcharge, it is on the back; on your own existing RFID cards, you read it with an NFC reader app such as "NFC Tools".
Enter the UID in the Unique card identifier (UID) field without spaces.
3.Result
You have now ruled out or already resolved the most common causes.
4.Note
If none of these points helps, write to support at support@depotcharge.com or use the chat under Support. Give us the date and time, site or charging point, the vehicle and, depending on the situation, the UID or card number, because this lets us see directly what the platform responded during the charging attempt.
We usually reply within a few minutes, in exceptional cases within a few hours.
If the RFID card is accepted but the charging session does not start, the vehicle is not requesting charging current. In this case, check whether the connector is properly locked in place and whether the vehicle is releasing the charging session.
Set a lost RFID card to Blocked in the portal so that it is rejected from now on. An Inactive or Blocked RFID card cannot currently be reactivated due to a known bug, so add a new one instead.
Charging sessions that have already been billed are not affected.
